Easy to Understand; Difficult to Master


Start:

Define the backlog (requirements)

Identify work to be completed

Forecast for goal


Sprints (time boxed iterations in which to complete tasks):

Daily Scrum meeting

  • Development team comes prepared

  • Starts on time and lasts only 15 minutes

  • Held at the same place and time

  • Anyone is welcome, but only development team contributes

Ask:

  • What was completed yesterday?

  • What will be completed today?

  • What impediments are there to the progress of project?

End:

Review

  • Completed and planned work

  • Collaboration with stakeholders for next step

  • Duration: 1 hour per sprint duration

Retrospective

  • Reflect on past sprint

  • Identify Continuous Process Improvement actions


Roles in Scrum Framework:


1. Product Owner

  • Middle man between stakeholders and team members

Responsibilities: product backlog, maximizing value, and communication with stakeholders


2. Development Team (Delivery Team)

  • Team members

Responsibilities: Deliver product increments every sprint


3. Scrum Master

  • Buffer between the team and distraction

Responsibilities: Ensure framework is followed and facilitates sessions
